Maybe I'm asking too much, but I hold the Brothers to a much higher standard than I believe even most of them do. And no, I'm not a Black woman. I'm a minority, probably more reviled than most these days, but no, I'm not Black. I adore the lot of you. There is nothing sexier than a Brother who respects himself and knows his worth. A Black man who knows where he's going in this world and wants a woman beside him helping him get there, cheering him on, being a sounding board for one another. Too many men think of cars, clothes and jewelery as status symbols. The truth is that anyone can achieve those silly baubles. A happy, proud wife, beautiful children and a home that creates and sustains loving relationships that is the ultimate. In my life I've been fortunate to know Black men like this. I was raised by strong role models and father figures who showed me what the Brothers are capable of. I'm looking for that in any man I commit myself to. I value my faith and I believe the man I'm looking for will, too. I admire a man who knows what his purpose is and has the drive and dedication to pursue it. My affection will reside with a man whose heart is strong and compassionate. Wishing the best to all of you who were kind enough to read this and I hope you find what your heart truly desires.
